Description
The athletic theme of this program captures student interest and complements extensive, systematic activities for apraxia and challenging speech disorders. Easy Does It for Apraxia and Motor Planning is for students who don't show progress with traditional therapy approaches, demonstrate motor-planning deficits for speech, lose intelligibility at the sentence level, and have increased errors when using complex phonetic combinations.
The program has six treatment levels. Each treatment level is divided into sequential objectives and include detailed, step-by-step therapy suggestions and activities for each objective. The treatment levels are: 1) consistent production of vowel sequences and isolated consonants, 2) combine consonants and vowels to form words, 3) produce consonant-vowel-consonant (CVC) words, 4) produce multisyllabic words, 5) produce phrases and sentences, and 6) produce consonant blends in words.
The convenient program equips you for therapy with forms, goals and objectives, treatment strategies, reproducible athletic-themed activity sheets and pictures, hand signal descriptions, action activities, vowel checklist, anatomical placement pictures, sample lesson plan, troubleshooting techniques and word, phrase, and sentence lists. Experienced and beginning clinicians will appreciate the detailed explanation of therapy techniques, systematic lesson plans, clear goals and objectives, and student practice activities and materials.
