Description
The See-Scape detects nasal emission of air during speech. With the nasal tip in one of the client’s nares, any emission of air will cause the float to rise in the rigid plastic tube. Instant visual feedback eliminates the need for lengthy explanations of the problem to the client and gives an objective assessment of nasal emission. See-Scape gives an indication of air flow pressure rather than nasality but in so doing indicates a lack of velopharyngeal competence that is perceived as hypernasality. A manual is included that gives directions for use, provides testing procedure, and suggests a treatment approach. NOTE: The nasal tip and flexible tubing are to be used once and then disposed of. Two sets are included with the See-Scape. A package of six additional sets of nasal tips and flexible tubes are available.
CONSTRUCTION:
- Rubber base adheres to table
